Mother of the Big Dipper talisman calligraphy by Master Zhongxian Wu

Welcome to Chinese Wisdom Traditions by me, Master Zhongxian Wu. I am a lifelong Daoist practitioner and author of 15 books (5 in Chinese) on Chinese wisdom traditions.

I was born on China’s eastern shore in a small coastal mountain village in Zhejiang Province, where the sun’s rays first touch the Chinese mainland, and began practicing Qigong and Taiji at an early age. Inspired by the immediate strengthening effects of this practice, I committed myself to the life-long pursuit of the ancient arts of internal cultivation.

Since 1972, I have devoted myself to the study of classical Chinese arts – Qigong/Neigong, Taiji, internal martial arts, Chinese medicine, astrology, cosmology, Yijing science, talisman calligraphy, ancient Chinese music – and have studied with the highest level masters of these fields.

Along with my wife, Dr. Karin Taylor Wu, I founded QinJian Akademin AB 琴劍研究院 to preserve and promote the ancient healing arts and other classical Chinese wisdom traditions. You can learn more about my work at www.chinesewisdomtraditions.com.
